Merlot 2018

This is a wine of delicacy and restraint. Only the best bunches were selected for hand-harvesting in 2018. The fruit was de-stemmed and gently crushed before a 14 day skin contact fermentation. The cap was delicately worked by hand and extra care was taken to make sure phenolic extraction was not overdone with the goal of letting the fruit and flavour do the talking. Not flashy, not arrogant. It’s perfect for any occasion and any Hawkes Bay Merlot fan.
